Analysis of web searching volume in regions and cities across the Gumtree world
Analysis of web searching volume in regions and cities across the Gumtree world
Gumtree is an extensive network of online classifieds and community websites. Classified ads are either free or paid for depending on the product category and the geographical market.
It is the UK's largest website for local community classifieds and was once one of the top 20 websites in the UK. But from the list, unexpectedly, South African becomes the largest web searching users.
It is widely acknowledged that Gumtree is originally designed to connect people, who help to arrange accommodations, employment or meeting new people. It indicates that currently people in South African may focus on searching the information about employment and accommodations.
In addition to South Africa, other countries, such as Australia, United Kingdom also use the Gumtree frequently. Besides the three big users, people in other countries, like Poland, Ireland rarely use Gumtree to search information.
Thus, even though Gumtree now covers more than 5 countries, it still has lots of work to expand its impact around the world. Efforts shoud be made by the whole Gumtree team to make it available for every corner of the world. @2
Let’s look at the rankings in cities. It is easy to be found that the cities listed here only belong to three countries, South Africa, Australia and United Kingdom. The fact and data prove that the faithful and stable users of Gumtree assemble in three countries. It has a long way for Gumtree to go and realize the goal of being a worldwide popular website.
